Looking Back Part 1
I have been thinking allot about how i was feeling this time last year , i was pregnant but had no clue about it. I never found out till 5th April and i was around 9 weeks along by that point.
Curious i took a little trip down memory lane at some of the posts i made to my parenting groups during the pregnancy .
This one is from the 5th of April and i had not long done the test

OH MY GOSH
I have just had the biggest shock of my life , I’m pregnant……again……
I just had to share with someone and we have agreed to keep it quite till the doctor confirms it…………..but i have been having symptoms for a few weeks now (nothing to bad just loads of food aversions).
We are happy, if slightly in shock (as you can see below Becca is just coming up 10 months) we were hoping to get pregnant again just not this soon, going by the date of my last period i would be 11 weeks, due 23rd October but I’m thinking I’m not that far ahead as i almost felt like i got a period without the bleeding in Feb….
I’m still breastfeeding and praying that i can at least make it till she is one, but would love to Tandem if my body lets me.

From May 6th after my first scan
********************
Finally got my scan done yesterday and the baby measured perfectly for 13 weeks, and they gave me the due date of
7th November. It has really surprised me a little as i was convinced i was around 11 weeks but gaining 2 weeks is not really to
bad
, i guess my body is screwy though as my one period started on 16th Jan, and my est. ovulation date based
on the scan was 14th Feb it would make sense though the way i felt around the time…….cramps, dip in milk supply but
no bleeding……..I’m thinking it was basically implantation rather than period. Otherwise the baby looked good ,the pictures
were so clear and he/she was all spread out and moving around like crazy I’m so excited that i could be feeling movements
in just a few weeks time. My next appointment is next Friday , its all just going so fast.
As for me the first trimester has been a dream, apart from tiredness in the evening and some food aversions i have been great , i feel
like one of these women i hated so much last time round with Rebecca and so hope it continues. It looks like i may even have found a diet
that works LOL as i have lost about 6lbs in the last few week , i did have 40lbs left over from Rebecca though so it has been nice…….esp. when i think
at the stage in the pregnancy with her i had already gained about 24lbs. I am eating fine, i think I’m eating more or less the same as before but with less chocolate (lucky me i cannot face it or fizzy drinks).

From 15th June when we found out the sex

GIRL
I admit i was hoping for a boy and when she said girl i was the slightest bit disappointed but im so thrilled by the idea now, hopefully Rebecca and her sister will be the best of friends and i know they will always have each other. We have very little cloths we need to buy which is wonderful although i was looking today at some dresses and such…………
We are also going to redecorate the girls room, we kept it neutral before just in case as the kids would be sharing a room we are going to go crazy with the pink now , really can’t wait.
Im still getting my head around it but am over the moon, i love saying Daughters or referring to Rebecca as my eldest daughter……..now to just get hubby to agree on names

After a shopping trip on August 23rd
*****************
Gosh im so tired just now, i have been on the go for the last two days and im in pain all over.
We are actually finally getting somewhere in getting ready for this baby, we got a double pram last week free of my cousin its in perfect condition and just the type i would
of bought myself . Her daughters are 20 months apart and its barely been used and she only used it when going for longer distances otherwise her eldest walked.
And yesterday we found the perfect crib for a great price, we have been looking everywhere for one but it was getting impossible as we were wanting one that was a cot bed with a drop side (i never imagined it would be so hard to find) and it hard to be more or less a certain colour so it would match the crib already in the room that my daughter uses and of course it had to be at reasonable priced. Well we were out looking for some smart trousers (or pants for you Americans) for DH and passed a small selection of baby stuff in a department store and it was just sitting there the perfect cot meeting all our requirements and costing a total of £195.00 once we got a mattress too. (Its about $370.00 not sure how that compares but it is definitely cheap for us most
decent cotbeds cost at least £200.00 without mattress).
Then today we were out doing more shopping and got the wallpaper for the room , we were looking at carpets too but they were more expensive than we thought so are going to go to DHs aunt shop to get them its a much more upmarket shop and cost twice the price but as she gives us them at cost with free fitting it will end up costing about the same - and much better quality.
The room is getting done next week DH starts back university the end of September and as he works weekends to it needs done for then, being 30+ weeks pregnant and running around
after a one year will not give me much time to get it done plus well im terrible at it. Our bedding etc.. is all picked out now check it out at http://order.next.co.uk/page.asp?b=X38&p=968&o=1 if
anyone fancies having a look.
Its great to finally be getting there, we just need to buy a chest of drawers now and sell out travel system then buy a new car seat (we have an infant one with the travel system but as we no
longer need the buggy part will just sell the whole lot and use the money to buy a car seat that goes from an infant one to toddler one ), and once the room is decorated my mum is coming to
help me sort through all the baby cloths and my MIL is going to baby-sit for the day to let us get it done.
Apart from shopping tiring me out pregnancy has been going fine, im 29 weeks 1 day today and getting more excited all the time. I had my last scan today and baby is doing great, weighing around 3lbs 1oz just now and fluid is normal (i had polyhydroniss(sp) last time around ) , the doctor did say the measurements were all coming back at between 30 and 31 weeks but they always go by the due dates on the first scan ……im still convinced im having a Halloween baby just because i really am not wanting to (its my sisters birthday and as much as i love her she will never stop going on about it) .

What wonderful memories to look back on! Your life sure has changed a lot in the last year. There must be something about spring that makes us reminisce, as I’ve been doing that lately too.

Time passes by so quickly and before you know it, you’re reminiscing about the past. Life just keeps changing for us and everyday brings on a new experience….experience worth jotting down, for us to reminisce yet again in the future
