Does anyone else just love watching there child and daddy interact? . I do love the relationship DH has with the girls, Rebecca just adores her daddy and although Eilidh is a little to young to love anyone more than the “person with the milk” she does give him the biggest smiles. Tonight
she stared at him the entire time he was trying to eat dinner
Rebecca is definitely having a daddy day today, he got home from university around 2 and she practically demanded to be taken out. Of course daddy just can’t say no so off both of them go
for a trip to the local small zoo - she loved the birds and fish apparently. It was a nice wee break
for me as it was Eilidhs afternoon nap time and i got an hour to look through the stuff I’m
wanting to sell on eBay.
Tonight he cleaned the kitchen then made dinner and Rebecca was not impressed with him , he was ok with her being in the kitchen but that was not enough as she really wanted to be in his arms. Now he is getting her to sleep, i did try but she just kept asking for Dada (he had just went to the shops) and the moment he got home she just jumped off my lap to go get him.
The girls and i are so lucky to have him, despite studying and working he still manages to be a wonderful father and anyone who sees him with the girls can tell that.
Yesterday was Mothers Day here in the UK and he got me the best present i could ask for - A Long Lie - i got to sleep till ten then he done the kitchen for me it was a lovely day and i also
got a box of my favourite chocolate .
We also had a lovely day Friday, i wrote a lovely blog about it but it never posted and i could not recover it. Rebecca had her hospital appointment and it went well, the surgeon is happy with her and will have her back in a years time to reasses again . Around her third birthday he
is going to take a look at her throat and see if she needs surgery again but we will deal with that when and if it happens.
After the appointment we took an unexpected detour to a local science centre, it was such
a lovely afternoon and the first time we had really done anything (other than shopping) as a family of four. It was also the first time we took Rebecca out without a pram and she walked about the place wonderfully. Its something we couldn’t of done a few weeks ago as she would of fussed the entire time.
I really cannot wait till the summer now and being able to take her places.

Aw, that’s so sweet that your girls love their Daddy so much. Nadia is the same way; by about 4 in the afternoon, she starts looking for hi, banging on the door and calling for him. She still almost always chooses Mommy, tho, and it’ll be a nice break when she starts wanting Daddy more but it’ll also make me sad!
That sucks that your other blog got eaten, but I’m glad to hear that Becca’s appointment went well. You must be so relieved that she doesn’t need another surgery! It sounds like she is doing great lately, really developing a lot.

It’s great news that Rebecca’s appointment went well. I know that must be a huge relief to you.
I love the pics that accompanied this entry. And I have to admit that I get a HUGE kick out of the slight differences in the way we talk.

I just love the difference in dialect, too! The different terms are so much fun!

YES! I love to watch Elyas play with Geir. When Geir comes home from work, I’m pretty much chucked aside, it’s all about Pappa! Lol!
Good to hear that Rebecca’s appointment went well. It must be a huge relief

Thanks guys, im so glad Rebecca appointment went so well. I was so scared about her needing surgery this summer and my not being able to be with her .
I really do love all my daddy/daughter moments, i don’t get there parents who don’t take an interest in there kids lifes.
The diffrences in talking can be fun, although when posting to groups to do try and Americanise my words more -paci instead of dummy, diapers instead of nappies etc…
BTW is there a way to relpy directly to the person leaving the comment or should i just leave a reply here?

Don’t try to Americanize your terms - I love them! And you are who you are, don’t chnage that.
You can set blogger to e-mail you with new comments and then reply from there. I started doing that, but then decided it’s easier to just reply on site except for an occasional one I want to reply to privately.

Thanks Christina
It doesnt let me reply through email but i guess this way is good to. I just try to americanise my terms on yahoo groups as i find alot of the time people would have no idea what i was talking about.
