Normally once a month my sister and i take our girls to visit their great gran. Its something i really enjoy doing, its the only grandparent my sister and i have now and we just adore her.
I guess i also really enjoy showing my girls off and i really want them to get to know there great gran , i know she enjoys the visits to and appartley likes to brag to her friends about us coming up.
It was such a nice day today that we walked down , we stopped to get drinks along the way but for some reason my bank card was not there and my neice was moaning about needing a drink. I only had 42p on me and the cheapest drink was 43p , i went searching under the prams for money and found a drink of Courtneys from months ago – it was unopened and still in date so we let her have it. Lets hope it was ok.
My gran enjoyed seeing the girls and we took some photos , she also measured the girls for new cardigans – she knits the most wonderful stuff and the cardigans are just great for summer. She done a wonderful shawl for Rebecca which i also used for Eilidh and plan to use for all my children, i would love to keep it and someday give it to my first grandchild .
The girls get to see there grandparents quite alot, we go to my mils every Wednesday and my parents every Friday. I always look forward to both days as not only is it a nice break but the girls have such fun and get spoiled. I feel family is so important and we are so lucky to have them so close that we should really take advantage .

That’s great that you’re so good about taking the girls to see your Grandma. My husband’s grandmother lives in a retirement community just 5 minutes away, but I let way too much time go between visits with Nadia. All Nadia’s other great-grandparents live 500+ miles away.
I just love taken
the kids , its
nice for them to know
there greatgrand parents
to.
We really should
visit DHs gran but
DH is just busy all the time.
