Today my baby turns 5 months old. I look at her and cannot believe its been 5 months since she entered my life, it feels like just yesterday she was born and she is now moving around on her own. Rebecca felt like a baby for the longest time but Eilidh seemed to be a newborn for days,
everything she does just amazes me and for those moms on there first out there if is still just as amazing the second time around.
I guess it comes down to me being so in love with her ,you carry them for 9 months but nothing compares to really knowing them. I’m so blessed to have both her and Rebecca in my life.
I always say looking back that Eilidh looks nothing like Rebecca but looking through her old pictures does make me see the family resemblance. Rebecca is much darker than Eilidh and much smaller but there is a look about the both of them

In other news Rebecca finally seems to be on the mend, she is not 100% and has some really nasty nappies today but for the first time since Wednesday she actually eat something. That more than anything was worrying me as she is just so small as it is - she really cannot afford to lose any weight.
We have been having lovely weather here lately and had a barbecue at my parents and while she didn’t exactly make a pig of herself she eat enough to bring tears to my eyes. She has such a ball playing with her cousin running around the garden, I’m surprised we got her in for her bath without a fuss.

Sick Girl

My big girl is sick and i just feel so bad for her.
We have been so lucky with Rebecca as she hardly ever gets ill its been a year since she was last ill so i guess i feel this came out of the blue, but don’t all illnesses?.
She woke up Thursday morning at around 5am and started being sick .I took her through the living room , cleaned her up , gave her some medicine and she took a milk feed which she of course just threw up. She went back to sleep and woke up around 7 being sick again. She was fine for hours after that and was playing fine if just a little more subduded than normal , but just before naptime she was sick again and went for her nap without feeding first. She did seem so much better after her nap but will still not Rebecca and she even took an afternoon nap which is something she has not done in almost a year.
She had a good nights sleep although i kept waking up as she was just so warm but i did’t want to wake her to give her medication. I did think she was on the mend today but after playing in the garden at my mums for an hour or so and the smallest bit of chochlate she went totally cling and unhappy again, you could just tell how misrable she felt.
Its almost 8pm now and she is sound asleep, she has barely eaten in days and im so thankfull that i can provide her with breastmilk just now and not worry about dehydration. So far the rest of seem ok although my throat is getting sore tonight but im hoping its nothing.

Busy, Busy

I cannot believe how busy my life has gotten lately, most days i feel as if we have just got up and then its time for bed again . We never spend a full day indoors anymore and by the evenings I’m
ready for bed so early.
Both girls and just doing so well , we are thinking we may need to move Rebecca’s bedtime a little later as she is just fighting the sleep at night just now but it may just be she wants to spend all her time walking. Her speech is getting better ever day and she is picking up something new each day, we love to do “name the body parts” and one of her favorite cute moves just now is when we ask her if she is big and strong and she closes her fists and waves her arms around (imagine someone showing off there muscles) . She would happily spend all day outside and thankfully we are having a strangely warm spring . We also had our first poo in the toilet this week, a little milestone but it was exciting for mummy.
Eilidh is just getting bigger each day, she was 14lbs 8oz last week at around 4 1/2 months, she
is almost but not quite sitting up - she has the strength but not 100% balance and i still need to put pillows around her but i did for the first time today sit her down and walk away shortly .
She enjoys falling back though , in fact both her and Rebecca find this funny.
She is also desperately trying to crawl and can do the army crawl but only for a couple of inches (she only uses it when there is something in front of her she wants ) and tonight she
was getting up on all fours and just trying so hard so I’m expecting that to come in the next few weeks. She also discovered tonight that rolling could have a purpose and rolled herself across the room to get to an object she wanted to chew (Okay i admit it was the underwear my niece had just taken off when she went for a bath) .
I have a short video of the crawling i need to post.
I just want everyone who reads to know how thankful i am and how i love writing this. I feel so bad for not replying to comments but do try when i have the chance , who would of thought two kids could keep someone so busy eh?
