Do you ever have a day - a day when nothing out of the ordinary happens but
at the end of it your almost sad its over because its been a wonderful day?
Its how I’m feeling just now , nothing has really happened all day - Becca went through a slightly fussy stage after nap but for some reason I’m so happy just now.
My girls are just getting so big , in just a few days Eilidh will be 6 months and its now less than a month till Rebecca is 2 .Eilidh is now 100% completely sitting on her own, to be honest she has been doing it for a while but its took me some time to feel comfortable enough to just put her down and walk away, she army crawls everywhere and manages to find the tiniest crumbs to eat.
I put away the swing and her play mat today, we have not used the swing in ages and she just crawls straight off the play mat . We do need the room but in a way its really made me sad, she really needs to slow down a little and not rush the growing up so much - did i tell you guys that she has started saying “mum” - i know its just
more than likely babbling but she only does it when she is upset and wants me.
Then there is my almost 2 year old, so big and beautiful and completely amazing. She gets cheekier and smarter every day and she is such a joy to be around, she is so easy going and not at all your typical toddler.
She is so helpful at the moment and loves to put stuff in the bin for me and help clean up, she is wonderful with Eilidh and always helps with everything. Today i was putting dinner on the table and she was trying to lift Eilidhs bumbo on the table for her sister . Then there is “baba” her dolly that always around normally wearing a nappy, “baba” HAS to go into a bath with the girls just now - and of course she needs to get her hair washed (not that there is any) and washed and dried just like Becca and Eilidh. I have “three” girls to get ready afterwards - i even had to iron “babas” clothes the other day. They are starting to “fight” over everything , Eilidh is always wanting what Rebecca has - cute for the moment at least.
We have proberly had the best week sleep wise we have had in a while - Eilidh is back to sleeping all night and Rebecca has been only waking up once maybe twice a night, sure she seems to be back to getting up at 5-ish but I’m okay with that if she actually lets me get some sleep during the night.
I also managed to give my house the spring clean it so desperately needed, i just about stay on top of the housework daily but it just needs that little extra now and then.
I am so glad to have my camera back on me again and have been snapping away like crazy, im loving taking wee videos of the girls just now i hope noone minds me sharing. Here is one taken yesterday of Rebecca eating a slice of kiwi and Eilidh trying to steal it.
Some Pictures of Eilidh this morning, she had managed to get her shawl wrapped around
her head while sleeping - im just glad its so light . You can also see how happy she is to be having breakfast.
And lastly a couple of pics from my MILs yesterday

Oh Laura, you are sounding SO happy! I’m so glad! You do have two amazing daughters. I can really relate to your feeling like Eilidh is growing up too fast - Nadia has alwyas been the same way, in a rush to move on to the next bigger and better thing. That must be especialyl hard after Becca, who was content to take it nice and slow. Becca sounds like the sweetest, mildest-mannered little girl ever! What sweet darlings you have.
Oh, Eils really is getting around, isn’t she?!
