BSM - Big Girls

Im “Cheating” this week i guess by offer two pictures, one of each of my girls. The one of Eilidh was not even taken by me.

The first is Rebecca doing her hair, maybe its the straigh hair that gets me? Her hair only ever sits like that when wet and first brushed . She just looks so grown up.

The next is Eilidh standing - taken by my dad and not me. No she is not walking yet but getting closer and closer each day, she will stand for a few seconds before falling and take a step to get to people/places.

Neither are great pictures, both a little noisy - but its what they represent to me that make them my best shots. My girls are growing up and there is nothing i can do about it.

A Day In The Life

Argg this has caused me nothing but hassle, the idea was stole from the lovely Tiffany at http://adayinthelifeoftiffany.blogspot.com/ .

Its not complete and not what i wanted it to be, the 100 or so pictures taken AFTER and DURING dinner never turned out (think a problem with my memory card) then i had such problems trying to upload that i basically gave up. I think i may try this again in a few weeks - just wanted it done with so i could go to bed.

Some Vids

I feel like im barely writing these days, to be honest life is sort of blah right now - the weather is horrible and we stuck inside most days. Eilidh is finally over her bug and doing better - i cannot believe she is 8 months tomorrow.
I took a couple of videos today, one of Rebecca and Eilidh playing , one of Rebecca, Eilidh and Courtney “dancing” and one of Eilidh clapping her hands. Enjoy

Music To A Mothers Ears

As I’m sure any parent can tell you one of the best sounds in the world is your child’s laughter. Is there anyone out there who has not been almost brought to tears when your child dissolves in a fit of giggles?.
The last few weeks i have discovered that YES there is something better than that sound - the sound of two of your children laughing together , the sound of them making each other laugh as they play some silly game. I watch with wonder each day as my girls bond more and more, it may be chasing each other up and down our hallway or playing peek a boo with a curtain. It may be tickling, kissing or sneaking the other bits of food , gosh it may even be fighting or both trying to play with the same toy. Whatever way it is i could not be more proud , there amazing children and i know there going to do wonderful things with there lives.

TO whoever is reading, being a mother to two is not just twice the joy but a thousand times . It gets better and better each day :)

BSM - Mirror Image

Is any other blogger user not able to add a title just now? , Its really annoying me.
I have took many shots i love this week but just adore this one of Eilidh. I would so
of prefered for the mirror to be clean, it is done on a regular basis i promise but Eilidh loves it and its constantly dirty. If anyone has any ideas how to fix it i would love some help.

My Sick Baby

Eilidh is sick and its stressing me out to the MAX. SHe has been a little off
the last few days but last night got up *5* times which is loads for her, before
if she got up once it was a bad night.
Today she is just misrable , completly off her food and not sleeping
for more than 30 minutes at a time. Its seem like she is crying non stop.
This evening she threw up a milk feed then some banana she eat.
I thought it was teething at first but im thinking she is ill now, i have called
DH and asked him to come home asap incase Rebecca wakes up. I feel
rotten just now but she is in her cot fussing, her crying is non
stop no matter what i do and i just need a few minutes. If she could
just get some sleep.
Please keep her in your thoughts and hope she is better soon

(Mmm why can’t i leave a title)

More Pictures

Just some pictures taken today, its late and I’m tired and off to bed after this but just wanted to share.

Our Day

Today i done something completely unique for me, i took the girls out for the day to meet up with some friends. That’s right people who were not related to me through blood of marriage.
I met Diane a few months back through a mums site online, she has two adorable daughters, one is 8 and the other two days younger than Eilidh.
We arranged a meet up for the first time today ,we took our kids to a big play centre so they could play about and we could talk. A friend of hers came with her 3 year old and 18 month old.
I feel almost like a new person tonight, i guess i completely forgot what it was like to be around other Adults and to actually have proper conversations. Eilidh was great and loved to look and crawl around. It was a big step for me with Rebecca as it was the first time i really let her be independent and run around the play area with out someone watching her. I had a few scary moments when i couldn’t find her, at times i would look and she would be right at the top of the climbing equipment (which was high - height of a house but completely safe) and i would freak. She was loving it though and every time i did see her she was having the best time, thinking about how big and happy she seemed makes me want to tear up. Afterwards we went back to Lornas nearby house for cups of tea and to let the kids play for another while before going home for dinner. Eilidh just loved everybody and as usual Rebecca ignored the kid her own age and liked to watch (but not join in just yet) the older kids. I have been invited to a party in two weeks which im hoping to go to, imagine me at an actual adult party with no kids - shocker.
I think this is just what i need just now to get me out of the funk i have been in lately, i need to try and get some sort of life for myself . I have a meeting of a new mums group Saturday so yet again will get to meet some new people , cannot wait :)

Photo Effects

My new camera has some fun little photo effects such as frames to play with. I honestly don’t think i will ever use many of them as i would much rather have the full shot then add my own with photoshop. I went to visit with my sister and neice today though and was showing them to them - just wanted to share.
