Eilidhs Boo-Boo
My baby has her first proper boo boo yesterday, Rebecca was having one of those days - you know the type , fussy and moaning about everything.
This morning she found daddies car keys and was playing with them , Eilidh was on the floor and was trying to get them, out
of nowhere Rebecca turned around and hit her *hard” with them on the face.
Eilidh immediately started screaming, i just held her rocking her for about 5 minutes till she calmed down and stopped, Rebecca was
standing in the corner and to be honest looked completely shocked and upset about it all. It was after Eilidh stopped crying i noticed her face, just
underneath her right eye was a cut and blood was dripping down her cheek, it looked so deep and nasty and my
first thought was going and waking up dh and taken her to the hospital.
i calmed down though and started to breastfeed her, while she was feeding i cleaner it up and put on some cream. It looked much
better and was really only a surface cut. She is not bothered by it but it looks terrible, its swollen and bruised - so she basically has a black
eye. Thankfully it looks better today, of course with my lovely new camera i took a couple of shots.
Of course today she managed to hurt herself this time, im pretty ok with the kids going in any room of the house but im not that kean on Eilidh going in the bathroom. Its tiled flooring and its hard , if she was to fall it was hurt, so its the one room i try to discourage her from going - of course it makes her want to go in it more. Today as usual she and Rebecca crawled into it and by the time i got there Rebecca was standing beside the shower and Eilidh standing up using the tiled step up to the shower. I walked in and told them they shouldn’t be there and Eilidh turned around so quick she fell down and scraped her side against the tiles. To add to her black eye she now has a lovely big scratch across her belly. No pictures of that yet.
BSM - The Face
I thought i wouldn’t be able to take part in bsm this week, i lent my MIL my camera last week and we had still not received it back when she went on holiday today. Now im no great photographer but im LOVE taken pictures of my girls , i hate to miss anything and normally take at least a couple of shots each day. DH the wonderful husband that he is mysteriously disappeared at one point and returned home a little while later with A NEW CAMERA. Its still a point and shoot - a Samsung S830 , 8.1 mp and a 1GB memory card..
Part of my does love the idea of a fancy dslr camera but for the moment im really happy with the simplicity of the pos. The one my mil borrowed was old, over three years now and was not in the greatest of condition, the light was weird and sometimes you had to shake it a little to sort it. He was planning to get me a new one in October for my birthday but obviously decided now was a better time.
To say im over the moon is an understatement, it has so many cool little functions on it that im just dying to play with. Im still in shock at DH buying me it , but so grateful aswell , i imagine i will be going picture crazy the nest few days “getting a feel for it” and making up for lost time.
Onto my BSM - It was taken not long after i got the camera set up and is not the best of shots, i have cut off some of Rebecca’s hair for a start but i just love her facial expression, its one i see quite a lot these days when she is annoyed/fed up at something . In this case it was not being let out her chair after lunch.
