Unexpected Sleeping
Both my girls tend to sleep during there routine times , i very let them sleep outwith them (i know it sounds so cruel, its not really . Most of the time i know its not worth letting them having a 5 minute nap if its going to lead to them being up all evening) .
What is funny is that in less than 24 hours both girl fell asleep on there own during strange times. Last night it was Eilidh during dinner (poor thing had refused to nap that day) and this morning while i was getting Eilidh down for morning nap Rebecca was sitting in the living room watching a little tv (she normally plays with daddy but he is now back at school) . After Eilidh was down i came through and there was Rebecca sound asleep on the couch.
Playing Doggy
Rebecca loves to pretend she is a doggy and will crawl about on all fours , pick up and object in her mouth and bring it to someone to take off her. Funny thing is the last few days Eilidh is starting to “copy” and will toddle about with some silly object in her mouth looking way to adorable.
Bad Mummy
This morning i really was going for the worst mummy in the world award, Eilidh woke super early at 4.45am and i went to try and get her back to sleep. Of course Rebecca woke to so i took Rebecca and dh Eilidh. Eilidh did go back down after a bit but Rebecca was awake (hence the passing out this morning) . Please tell me other mums out there give there kids chocolate and turn on there tv shows at 5am in the hope they will stay curled up in there arms and let them sleep for a little bit longer?
Sleep, Not Talk
Again on the topic of this morning, why is it Eilidh was in her cot for 9.30am – but at 10.45am she was still awake and talking up a storm. Its 11.12am now and i have not heard anything for a while so assuming she is asleep. She was perfectly happy and playing so i just left her to it.

When mine gets up really early, the Tivo action begins, so you are NOT a bad mom (mum). Of course, he won’t go back to sleep, but if I can just lounge in bed another hour & get my hot tea in me, I’m a much better mother.
That’s so sweet that E’s copying R. Darlings.
what sweet little girls
Billy is still on hols time so getting up stupid early and i have just taken to ignoring him, in hope that i can sleep longer
My friends little boy does the doggy thing its hillarious so i can imgine it!
hmmm maybe it is a bad day for sleeping. Emma fell asleep in the middle of the living room floor this morning. She has never done that before, and normally has to be coaxed to sleep and then sneaked into her cot without her noticing!
I love the doggy story – that is so cute!
love the chocolate and TV comment. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
