Today i turn 26 years young.
I have had a lovely day so far, i got lovely cards (which of course Rebecca had to open) from the girls and DH and the biggest box of chocolates ever (seriously , will share a pic later when on my computer) – there guylvan Belgium’s and just so yum (esp the praline shells) . The digital camera i got a few months back was my early “big” birthday gift, we also ordered a new king size bed last week as a sort of birthday gift (our current bed is badly broken, we are sleeping on a slope just now) .
Tonight DH and i are going out with my parents for a lovely meal, how cool will that be? A actual meal without children and adult conversation. Saturday i am going a child free shopping trip to spend some birthday money (plus get to shop for stuff two sizes smaller than 3 months ago) and we are planning a wee birthday drink Saturday night.
Eilidh got me a birthday gift in the shape if her first tooth 
– I noticed it when she bit my finger this morning while opening the cards . She never fussed, cried or acted any diffrent and slept perfectly well least night
Can i really be so lucky to get another wonderful teether? . Rebecca has had the odd painful teeth but for the most part they just appear out of no where (including her molars, i noticed the other week she has gotten her 2nd year molars in at some point . No idea when that happened) . With Eilidhs flare for drama i was really expecting her to act as if the world was ending ,but so far so good.
I have also been looking at my life alot lately, i have been talking to a couple of old school friends and have really realised how diff rent my life could be. I could have a high paid job, multiple qualifications, live in any country in the world , spend my days and night partying, spend all my time using drugs – lots of bad and good options.
BUT i look at my life and realise i am exactly where i want to be, i don’t think for 26 years old i have done that bad. My life is still ahead of me and im so grateful for that. I wanted to share the top things that make my life so grate.
1 – My wonderful DH, i never really thought i would find someone like him. He is a wonderful guy and an amazing father. I stil get butterfly’s thinking about him and get so excited when i have not seen him for a while. He is really the love of my life
2 – My girls , both wonderful and amazing children. There both healthy and adorable and what more could a mother want?
3 – My parents , im incredible lucky to have both parents still together and living so close. They would both do anything for me and the girls , there so supportive and just amazing people.
4- My sister and niece, they both have there moments but i just adore them both. Even more importantly my girls are crazy about them. Im so lucky to not only have a sister being so much a part of my life but also a best friend.
5- My In Laws, I am also so lucky to have wonderful in laws, Rebecca just adores her Uncle Graeme and they both love there gran. She is always so wonderful to me and the girls and im so grateful not to be stuck with a “monster in law”
6 – My home, our current home may not be the place we want to live forever – its small and with no garden. But its ours, we own it and have put alot of time and effort into doing it up .Im so glad we decided to buy instead of rent, property prices are crazy around here and its already worth around £40,000 more than what we paid 3 years ago.
7 – The future, we have such an exciting one ahead of us. Dh is in his last year of uni and im going to be starting the accounts course. At the moment we just about get buy financially but it will not always be like that. Its wonderful to know there so many opportunities going to come our way.

Happy Birthday to YOU! You are YOUNG, sista. And, I’m so glad you are taking time to stop & smell the roses. Your house doesn’t have a garden is the most Britishy thing I’ve heard you utter. I almost am tempted to see what shipping rates to Glasgow on 100 rose bushes would be….ALMOST. I hope you have a wonderful day! And, as you’re about 10 hours ahead, you are probably already sleeping. Belgian chocolates. UMMM. I have a Belgian friend who is going home in a week & is on ORDERS to bring good stuff back tariff or no!
