Proud To Call Her Mine

Firstly a *big* thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes, i feel so loved. I had a lovely meal out , even managed to squeeze myself into a pair of size 14 trousers (thats size 12 pants to those outside UK). Its so nice to get some kid free time now and then.

I have been wanting to write about Rebecca for a while now, i feel i can go on about how wonderful Eilidh is and do not give my other baby enough air time. Can i just say how incredibly proud i am that she is my girl? She is funny, clever and just so much fun to be around.
This week i was doing parent duty at her playgroup , and it was wonderful to see how she is settling. At one point i was stopping Eilidh from destroying the place (AGAIN) and turned around to see Rebecca sitting around a table with three other children , they were “playing” with the kitchen set and all passing food around the table and pretending to eat it. I felt my eyes fill with tears just seeing this, some people may wonder “whats the big deal” . Just a few weeks ago she would refuse to go near the other children, she would play by herself in the corner and if someone came near her walk off. Its amazing to me how much growth she has made recently , im so glad we decided to keep her at playgroup and not stop her going.
She is loving so many areas of it and when the teacher mentioned signing Rebecca was the first to go and get ready and started “singing” Wind The Bobbing Up. Again a few weeks back she would be sitting in the corner just watching almost afraid to join in.
I get so excited thinking how she will be a few weeks time.

Can you believe this post has taken me around 48 hours to write? Been so busy the last few days, now Eilidh is napping and Rebecca is running around like crazy eating grapes and playing with her dolly – ohh and a stupid tooth of mine just split – how does a tooth split in two? Got the dentist on Monday now

It’s such a beautiful thing to see a mother’s love for her child. Becca really does sound like such a special little gal. I’m so glad that she’s settling into playgroup and playing with the other kids, participating in group activities
