Yesterday was a rainy afternoon, we had plans later but after lunch the girls and i decided to build a “tent” in the living room.
Who knew a couple of chairs with an old sheet over them could be the greatest thing ever. The girls laughed and squealed in delight, they ran around the chairs and underneath the cover. The grabbed pillows in with them and pretended to go to sleep.
After a while even mummy was allowed to come in, sitting there with chairs and bedsheets surronding me Rebecca leaned over and gave me the sweetest kiss. Her sister followed her lead then of course they kissed each other. It ended with a group hug, me sitting with a girl on each side , four arms around my neck.
Moments like those make all the bad times worth it

Thanks for sharing, I LOVE those moments!
What a great idea and so simple. I have to remember this.
Awww! I remember being that age and building elaborate tents with blankets, chairs, and clothes pins.
Great times.
Isabella LOVES playing tent, although I’ve never made one like you have. We’re getting slammed with snow here, and tomorrow it looks like we’re going to be stuck inside all day. I’m totally using your chairs-and-sheet idea. Thank you so much for sharing it!
What a special moment! I tied a fort with Nadia a while back and she didn’t “get” it at all…we’ll have to try again! I remember loving that as a kid.
I know this so well!!! Lovely to have two to do it with. Yes, the bad moments just fade and that’s how it should be!
AAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW That is the BEST!
