For the second time this evening Eilidh starts crying in her cot, i walk in the room to get her.
She is lying in the middle of her bed surrounded by cuddly toys, the night light casts a soft pink glow and i can just make out her features. She is crying but stops when i enter and so clearly says
“love you”
Its an emotional moment and i can almost feel the tears when she decides to finish her sentence
“daddy”

LOL Aww, I’m sorry but it was cute.
Why do these babies do this to their mama’s?
Very funny. Wonderfully chronicled.
We were in the dr’s office and I had been shaking my head “no-no” at Mackenzie moments earlier. I proceed to ask her if she loves me and she shakes her head no-no. I ask her several times and she repeats the act. Then I ask her if she loves daddy and she stops shaking her head and says “Daddy.” What a sweet girl.
Ahh but she has a sore throat so you didn’t hear her say the very quiet little ‘and’ before daddy..
Oh NO! Eilidh, how COULD you?!?!?
Oh sorry, but that makes me laugh hysterically! I just know that when Emma is ready to say I love you, it will probably be to her Daddy or her Papa. Oh well. I’ve got another one on the way so maybe he’ll love me more.
LOL
Isabella said “dada” waaay before “mama.” And now she’s saying “my dada.” Sigh…
Bwaaaahaaahaaaa! I’m so sorry Laura. Really, I am. But that was just funny. It seems that they always do that though - don’t they - the mama is the last to be fully appreciated. Don’t feel bad though - I can’t even get Jake to say mama at all yet.
I can imagine that happening to me soon!
kids should know better!
Ooof, powerful little people!
