Apples
Girls,
I am happy that you love you fruit, there is nothing better than watching your children dig into an apple likes its the best thing they have ever eaten.
BUT this does not mean you have to ask for them ALL THE TIME , its really not necessary to eat two then help yourself to another when my back is turned. Ever meal does not need to be finished by an apple and ever journey out the house filled will pleadings for more.
Today we purchased our forth bag of apples in a week, along with our third bag of bananas - we have also went through two bags of oranges, 1 bag of pears and a bag of grapes. Countless tins of fruit have been consumed and im not even going to mention the dried fruit snacks.
Its great you both choose to eat so well but could you please let up on the apple pleading please ? (Especially the 2 am one Eilidh)

Sounds like ADAM! He does that with whichever food he is into, as well. Right now it’s oranges.
Hopefully they let up on you soon!

I would love for Zoe to be relentless about begging for fruit. At least it would mean she might lay off begging for cookies and ice cream and lollipops!!!

How funny! I keep hearing about kids only wanting junk food, so it’s great that yours are so into fruits. My next post is going to be about fruit as well. We must be on a similar train of thought.

bean is totally into fruit too. most people make extra trips to the store to buy things like milk and bread, we go for bananas, oranges, strawberries, grapes, etc, etc, etc…
she doesn’t ask for fruit at 2 am though, thank goodness!

My kids like apples too, though I’m not sure if they like them as well as yours do.

I think my Max is going to have the same apple addiction. ;o) he’s only 9 months old but he goes crazy when he sees us eating an apple! He will gnaw on one until it’s mush. Beats cookies though.

hi there, I commented on Playgroundsarenoplace…and saw your comment about the Little Chef sign and HAD to come visit. I’m from Greenock but live in Montana. It’s a bit of a change. Nice to read about you a wee bit.
I feel the same way about the apple frenzy. We have it here too. Gala apples are generally the drug of choice. Thankfully I can get blueberries here cheaper than the UK because my two boys (3.5 and 1) eat them like they’re going out of fashion.

Is it because it’s winter? Because my kids are doing the same thing - eating fruit like it’s going out of style.
Hmmm.

Haha! Well, better than cookies. Hopefully all that fruit isnt having any bad diaper side effects!

That’s hilarious! My daughter loves them too but seeing as how she is only 11 months, she doens’t know how to ask for them yet
My husband though eats so many a day!!

I’m going through the same thing…my youngest can get through about 5 bananas and the same number of apples a day. That’s all very well but his latest passion is fresh pineapples ;-D

We go through about 10 pounds of apples a week. And bananas. But there are 8 of us. The food that is most popular here is milk. We have to stop the kids from drinking so much. We limit them to a gallon a meal. So when they are home all day (summer, weekends) we go through a lot of milk!!!

At least it’s fruit! LOL But I know how annoying that can get, as Nadia does the same thing with whatever food is her latest craze! She’s into bananas again now.
