  • Since my son was born i have became the number one fan of baby wearing. He is worn every time we leave the house - we don't even own a single pram for him. Those first few months he was even worn alot inside both to get to sleep and feed . I have no idea how i got to my third child before realising just how wonderful it was. I love how it leaves me hands free to deal with my other children. I know no matter how fussy or tired he i always have a solution. Plus having my wonderful son snuggled up so close to me is an amazing feeling.

As im such an addict now im definitely on the lookout for new baby slings . I currently use a Wrap but also have a ring sling . How much do i crave a moby wrap . This hand painted sling is to die for.
Im also desperately wanting a Mei Tai and this will be my next purchase.

If done right and with the right carrier (for you) baby wearing is a wonderful thing. Its both convenient and good for the baby. I look forward to my continued journey with baby wearing

I am declaring today a success.

We had 3 accidents and they were all before 1 o’clock but the pee and poops on the potty far out numbered that (Yes my kid has had way to much chocolate today) . You know whats so great about it all , its all of her own back . I am seriously doing NOTHING ,Rebecca is wanting to go nappy free and is going on the potty 100% on her own - half the time i don’t even realise she has gone till she starts dancing around the potty.

The pride on her face says it all .

I’m not sure if we are toilet training exactly yet but we are in the pre-training stage , there are still obstacles to overcome . The accidents all happened when she was wearing underwear so that may or may not be an issue  , she spent the rest of the day with a bare bum and done great.  I’m so excited over it as i thought this was going to be a milestone i would have to fight her over , guess i should remember that Rebecca does everything in her own time and does it well .

Im so proud of my big girl.

I have been wondering if Eilidh may follow suit in the next few months, crazy i know as she is still so young (just gone 17 months) but she is going along with her sister in the refusing to wear a nappy stakes.  Now she is not going in the potty but does seem to understand when she needs to go - she tends to stop what she is doing and go into a free space to go.

She does seem to copy EVERYTHING her sister does.

    WELL DONE Rebecca!! :)

Yay Rebecca!! And hooray for Mama!
A couple of my kids were like that. They would have accidents in their undies, but always made it to the potty if they were bare bummed. Teagan is doing great! Still haven’t really ventured into a public bathroom, inste4ad he chooses to hold it until we get home. But, he only has an accident every couple days, and I think that is because he gets too busy playing and doesn’t make it in time.

Keep up the good work, Rebecca!

Way to go! Congrats on the diaper freedom. I’m jealous. We are not even remotely taking interest in using the potty. I’m rather worried he’ll be wearing diapers in kindergarten.

Yipee, that is awesome! Definitely encourages me to let Nadia do it in her own time, no pressure.

  • carrie:

Woo hoo! Hooray Rebecca! I bet that E. will practically train herself - that is how it happened around here at least!

where we live, we call nappy’s diapers, but hearing you call them nappy’s reminds me of my mother. I was born in Australia, and she always called diapers-nappys because that’s the culture she was surrounded by. Anyway, just made me smile. :)

Sounds like things are going well!
