The Baby Show
I i should mention the password protected post below Half Way Mark , i hate doing that but its just slightly crossing the “to personal” barrier for me. Its mostly talking about the pregnancy in the first few months, i celebrate making it half way today and was reminiscing.
Chances are if your reading this i will be more than happy to share the password so please email me at lauracmcintyre@gmail.com or leave a comment on a post asking for it. I actually have no problems with other bloggers reading the post, i will be happy to share with family and real life friends. Who am i hiding it from exactly? As unlikely as it may be its my dads boss, the girl i went to high school with and hated or Craig’s professors - the chances any one of these people are reading is almost zero but im not wanting to take the chance
So if i know you or you have a blog (or other web page of some sort) i can check out then i will happily share.
Now thats done with on with THIS post.
Today my mum and i went to visit The Scottish Baby Show , a yearly event held at the Scottish Exhibition Conference Center Its really just a big shopping event with lots of stalls and shows relating to baby and children. We got there at lunch time dropping the children in at the free creche provided (amazingly both girls went happily, neither even saying bye but much more interested in the fun behind the walls). For two hours my mum and i walked , talked and done a little shopping buying a Totseat and a Bum Genius nappy (yes just the one, im wanting to go cloth with this baby and wanting to buy some samples to try out different brands before making the big purchase) . I really wanted to try some baby slings on (not sure what one to go for, i think the reason Eilidh hated the ring sling so much was because i always felt uncomfy in it) but despite going back to the stall twice we seemed to be invisible and passed over time and time again for other people.
After going for a coffee (with NO KIDS) we picked the girls up in time for the Jo Jingles show starting (they both had a great time at the creche , Eilidh actually was sleeping when we got there as she had missed her nap). Rebecca especially loved the Jo Jingles and danced and sung along with glee, Eilidh only really came to enough to join in the last song.
It had already been a pretty full day, none of us had eaten lunch yet (and it was 3 o’clock) so we grabbed something to eat before heading home.
For the girls the adventure was not over yet and we took not *one* but *two* “choo-choos” home . It was there first train rides and as expected they loved it. We all fell through the door just after 5 and they had a quick dinner followed by a quick bath and went straight to bed.
Its been a great but tiring day, to us they are the best kind

Oh that sounds like so much fun! I always wanted to go to the Baby Shows but Glasgow’s just a little too far for us with no car
If you don’t mind sharing the password I’d love to catch up with your musings on your pregnancy so far…
I can’t believe you’re half way

What a great day! Sounds like a fantastic time with your mom, and child-free while you knew the girls were having a blast! My sister has used both FuzzyBunz and BumGenius diapers, and she prefers the BumGenius. They really are cool! I’ve never seen anything like that totseat, looks interesting.
I want the password! Please? :o)

Sounds like the baby show was lots of fun! As for slings, I used a Snugli when Little Elvis was little, and liked it alright. I have a friend with a 7 week old who swears by her Moby wrap. It looks so complicated, but she says it’s easy, and it really distributes the weight.

Slowly catching up on blog reading and had to come over and see how that baby is growing. Who ever invented that little widget is a genius I tell you. Sounds like everything is coming along smoothly and I’m so happy to hear that!

Sounds like you had a good time. I’ll put in my recommendation for Kissaluvs if you want to try them out. LOVE them for newborns.
Could you share the password, pretty please?

Half way already? It always go by so fast… when it isn’t you, lol. I have never seen a totseat before, it looks pretty cool, I’m going to have to check it out.
GREAT idea only buying 1 diaper until you know what kinds you like best… I can’t tell you how much money I could have saved, lol.
If you feel like sharing I’d love to read your last post too

Hey, there! Just stopping by from Alaska, USA. I have NO idea how I stumbled upon your blog! Searching for too many things at once I guess. But you’re a mommy, I’m a mommy with similar interests and you live in a place I have long yearned to visit! I have Scots/Irish blood and someday I will come “home” and visit. (My husband owns 1 square foot of land on the Laphroaig Distillery so one day we’ll go hang out on it!?) But for now I will visit your blog! Feel free to stop by Alaska! http://www.mountainpulse.blogspot.com
Congrats on your halfway mark!!! And stay well!

AWESOME decision to go with cloth diapers this time around. It has been a big change for us, and we are still working on getting used to them after using disposables for so long, but I am glad we switched.
