  • Since my son was born i have became the number one fan of baby wearing. He is worn every time we leave the house - we don't even own a single pram for him. Those first few months he was even worn alot inside both to get to sleep and feed . I have no idea how i got to my third child before realising just how wonderful it was. I love how it leaves me hands free to deal with my other children. I know no matter how fussy or tired he i always have a solution. Plus having my wonderful son snuggled up so close to me is an amazing feeling.

As im such an addict now im definitely on the lookout for new baby slings . I currently use a Wrap but also have a ring sling . How much do i crave a moby wrap . This hand painted sling is to die for.
Im also desperately wanting a Mei Tai and this will be my next purchase.

If done right and with the right carrier (for you) baby wearing is a wonderful thing. Its both convenient and good for the baby. I look forward to my continued journey with baby wearing

Today i got to see my baby again.

At 20 weeks 2 days she /he is looking very healthy, everything where its suppose to be and the hearbeat nice and strong - fluid levels are “average” thankfully (Excess fluid was the first sign something was wrong with Rebecca) .

Baby was not co-operative in finding out the sex, not only was she/he facing the other way but legs were firmly crossed. We have another scan booked for 28 weeks , if we don’t find out then we will pay for a sexing scan .Not sure if i have mentioned on this blog before but its not the norm to find out the sex of the baby around here and you are actually asked not to even ask but of course we do and the one doctor who seems to do the indepth scans is happy to - but only if he can easily see so will not actually spend time getting baby to co-operate and show .

I am a little disappointed, im having a little bonding trouble with this baby (which im sure is nothing, i felt similar with Eilidh and was sure i could never love her as much as i did Rebecca, was all rubbish and i was in love the moment she was born). I was hoping knowing the sex and choosing a name would make it a little better.

Bubs is healthy as far as we can see (although will not be confident with that till the baby is born) which is all that really matters.

Aww I’m glad all is well with the little un :)

  • Stephanie:

I’m glad all is well! Hopefully he/she cooperates at the next scan for you. I always want to know too - I’m so impatient and like to be prepared. But finding out IS the norm here nowadays.

  • Becca:

Glad to hear he/she is healthy! Ava didn’t really cooperate at our scan either. They “thought” she was a girl but weren’t 100% so thankfully she was as we bought lots of pink stuff!!

  • Chas:

I’m happy to hear that the baby is fine, even if you couldn’t figure out the sex. Hopefully next time they’ll see something for sure.

  • Tara:

I hope you find out the sex next time! But healthy is most important and you will have plenty of bonding time once he (I’m betting on a he, lol) is here.

  • Meredith:

Glad the baby is doing well! The same thing happened with one of my friends who was pregnant at the same time I was. Her baby refused to show her (it was a girl) stuff! I don’t think they ever got anything official until their second or third scan.

  • Christina:

Oh Laura! I’m so glad the baby looks healthy, but man, I am bummed that you didn’t get to learn WHO this is! I was really looking forward to that for you. Hopefully this little one will spread legs WIDE open for you in a few weeks! ;)

  • Toni:

    Congrats on good news!

  • Natalie:

    Hi!

Just having a nosey at your blog!

Glad the scan went well and hopefully you’ll get to find out at next scan - have you tried the chinese gender chart? It was right with both my boys
