It seems the mad energy burst i have had this week is over. I was getting right stuck in with decorating, from climbing ladders to strip walls to painting doors.
Even better i was loving it .
Today i can barely move, its not just the pain (from over doing it, nothing to do with baby) but shesh the exhaustion – its a struggle to move from the couch today. I am hoping it is just over doing it as Rebecca seems to feel the same as i do, we both curled up and took a mid day nap today (while Eilidh was in her cot napping) . I want my energy back, so much to do around here .
A couple of good things have happened though, i had my 30 week check up with the Doctor (well im just about 32 weeks now but thats not a big deal) . To my surprise she was happy for me to have my homebirth, all along i have being saying i know it does not matter what she says (and it doesn’t , it does not matter what anyone says . Its my legal right to give birth at home and the nhs has a legal obligation to provide me with a midwife. I would much rather not have to argue this fact though ) .
Been organizing my birth pool and as said before doing the CDs , guess its really happening
.
We have hit another milestone this week, im so proud to say Rebecca is now (pretty much) out of nappies (at least during the day) . She has been doing great at home but i had not braved going out and about without one. Finally got over that and she has not had an accident yet, no matter how busy she has been she has always stopped and went to the toilet.
I know that we will still deal with accidents, but for the most part its done. Its been much easier than i thought it was going to be .

Congrats on getting the go-ahead for your homebirth! I hummed and ha’d over having one but have opted instead for the mid-wife led unit at our local ‘cottage’ hospital. Are you using the hypnobirthing technique?
That’s great about the potty training and about the homebirth! I understand about wanting the doctor to be onboard. It makes things easier for you.
Wow, the baby is almost here! That’s so exciting. I hope you get your energy back. Pregnancy can be so tiring! And I didn’t even have toddlers around during my pregnancy!
Take a breather! You deserve it. I remember over-doing it putting a dresser together during one of my pregnancies. I was on the floor for about 3 or 4 hours putting that stupid thing together. The next day I really couldn’t move. Lesson learned.
Give yourself break but what am I saying-I am the same way. I never would nap and still don’t. I am excited to hear about the home birth. Also check out birthing from within. I used that book for my birth. Great book.
Congrats on the potty training, Wow momma you are doing a lot. HUGS
It’s okay to take a break, hon! You are always going, going, going – your body needs a rest! I hope you are feeling better tomorrow. So glad the doctor’s not giving you a hard time about the homebirth! Congrats to big girl Rebecca!
Aww congrats Rebecca on no nappies!! It’s such a great achievement for them isn’t it?
Take it easy a little more ok? You are almost 8 months pregnant!! You’re allowed, no… SUPPOSED to take things a lil more slowly from now on!
Congrats on being allowed the home birth. I was going to have one with Max but he was so late I was no longer covered by a midwife to have one
Had to be induced anyway so nvm eh? Maybe next time…
WAY TO GO REBECCA!
WOW! I cannot believe you are 32 weeks along!! A homebirth sounds exciting… hope everything goes according to plan!
Congrats to Rebecca!! That’s a great accomplishment… and one less bum you have to buy diapers for, eh?!?!
Put your feet up Laura. You deserve the break. And, what a milestone with Rebecca out of diapers. Yay!
Wow. I give you a lot of credit for wanting to give birth at home. It’s the way birth was always handled, and it seems so much more natural too. Of course, it’s not an option for me given my c-sections, but I’ve always wondered what it would be like.
And yay for Rebecca leaving nappies behind!
