35 Weeks

How the heck did i get so pregnant? See what happens when you turn your back.
Today it all sort of hit me – in 2 weeks time i will be full term. Baby is more than likely going to be here within the next 6 weeks. How can that much time have passed since i found out about him?

As pregnancy goes this one has been great, sure the first 12 weeks kinda sucked but since then its been as if nothing has changed. Been dealing with SPD the last couple of months . It is not so bad some days and painful the rest but aslong as i limit my walking i can deal with it. Seems to effect sleeping more than anything (moving around and getting in and out of bed is a nightmare). This baby is just so low down that it feels alot of the time that he is bouncing right on my pelvic bones.
Not had a check up in forever, have talked to my midwife though who knows everything thats going on and she is ok with that. She just wants to me to concentrate on Rebecca and contact her if i need her. Quite freeing to not be worrying about them, the appointments are mostly boring and routine and i know myself everything is fine. Will arrange one as soon as Rebecca is out mind you – need to get all the homebirth paperwork dealt with.

Now that i have bored everyone with that :)

Rebecca is doing great, eating and drinking and as of today tube free. Her drugs are getting weaned a little each day and hopefully be Monday she will be completely off the morphine.
Nights are a little rough, she kept waking crying last night and today spent the day is a funky mood (was very upset and tired) . We think she is homesick , she misses her sister like crazy (spends so much time crying and asking for Eilidh) and you can tell she is very frustrated with everything. She freezes anytime someone comes near her and is not happy with anything – don’t blame her though , i cannot imagine what she is going through.
For this reason (and well also because we so badly want her home) we are going to push for her getting out next Wednesday . We have a feeling the surgeon will want to keep her another week but DH and i feel it will not be needed , Rebecca is a homebody and will do much better in a home environment. We will happily take her in for as many check ups etc.. that are needed (even if it was daily) but we think she needs to be home to really recover.

Oh one other thing , she is being so dang frustrating with her refusal to walk – she has nothing in her foot now but still refuses to put any pressure on her legs. We understand they are weak but she will not even try to put her feet on the floor while holding hands or leaning against something.
We are trying her best but she will be seeing the physiotherapist Monday who can hopefully provide some help.

It’s getting close! I am getting excited for you. I am so happy to hear Rebecca is doing well, and I agree she would be calmer and happier at home, which always makes for a better recovery.
