Gosh i cannot believe tomorrow is Christmas, it seems to have came from no where.  Everyone seems to be well here now (thankfully) and getting into the spirit. Spent all day making batches of cookies that may not look the best (a two and three year old don’t make the best decorators) but taste yummy.

Just have a few last minute gifts to wrap and then we are done. Ru has finally got himself into a nightly routine and for the most part i know once he is down that will be him for the evening , how i love having that free time back again. We are no longer co-sleeping (i made the mistake of putting him down one night when unwell and now he will no longer sleep with us. He cries to i put him back in his moses basket) so im actually having to deal with night feeds YAWN (although to be fair its normally only twice a night and the first one if around 10 before i go to sleep)

Rebecca is so darn excited about Santa and its really cute, she has been going to sleep eagerly all week and im sure will do the same tonight . I am so looking forward to tomorrow and all its chaos lol…

Ru has just finished his milk feed and im going to go and snuggle with my three babies and read some Christmas stories. If i don’t get on tomorrow Happy Holidays everyone :)

Rolled Over

My baby boy just rolled over for the first time from back to belly. Im so proud :)

Will write more soon but all just getting over various illnesses here and rushing around trying to get ready for the holidays

A Gift For Me

This morning as part of our normal routine im feeding the baby on the computer. The girls are meant to be eating there cheerios.

Rebecca is fully dressed, as Ru gets dressed first thing she to insists she must to - she can be trusted not to spill the cereal all over herself . Eilidh who is guaranteed to spill the milk is naked .

So im on the computer feeding , Eilidh is running around and after a few moments come into the bedroom “you mummy” she says and hands me an object. Its wrapped up in toilet paper . Im thinking how sweet, my girl is getting into the Christmas spirit and has “wrapped” up a gift for mummy.
HA , i open it up and inside is a lovely still warm bit of Poo!!!

My girls the ever helpful ones had attempted to clean up after Eilidh using the hall floor as a toilet - Eilidh by bringing the large bit for me and Rebecca was cleaning up rest when i got to her.

Is’t parenthood just wonderful :)

Naughts and Crosses

Maybe should save this one for a Wordless Wednesday but what the heck :)

Rebecca has been playing this game with her daddy , and yesterday i caught her attempt at playing the game herself. Im sure alot of you have 3 (and a half *gulp*) year olds that have been doing this sort of things for months but for us its amazing - she could barely draw a line a few months back

Tomorrow my boy is a whole 12 weeks old. Before i know it he is going to be off and leaving me isn’t he? For all the fear and doubts i had all i want is him to stay this way, i want my boy to be little forever. Im completely head over heels for him and constantly feel like the luckiest person alive.

S8305799

He is a fun, adorable and funny little boy. Personality wise seems to be right in the middle of his sisters , a mix of all there good parts (for the moment).
You still have to work for a smile but they are given a little easier than a few weeks back . You get a few giggles now and then (normally when tickling - he is very ticklish) .
He is trying to roll , loves kicking around and playing with his toys. He seems to take everything in and is not the loudest of children, he will coo and babble when happy and excited but he mostly remains silent and watches… He loves the song “Clappy Clappy Handies, Daddies coming home ” and he nearly always giggles at it
He loves to kick about naked :)

S8305785

His sleeping is still great, he is now spending at least half the night in his moses basket and when he wakes up i take him in with me . I barely wake up for that just grab, latch him on then go back to sleep. He is getting into a routine during the day.

S8305774

He is a big boy, last weight in was 2 weeks ago and he was 14lbs and 24inch (so i think he will not be around 15lbs and about 24 1/2 inch now) 3/6 Months clothes are fitting perfectly and i imagine will only be doing so for a few more weeks.

S8305758

He has fitted right in and just goes with the flow, now if i could just get him to stop growing so much i would be happy.

Lazy Day

Sometimes everyone needs a lazy day. So many of our days are filled with activites and we very rarely stop and just do nothing. I love it that way but now and then a non day is good to.

Morning started rather stressfully, the girls both seemed to get up from the wrong side of the bed and were fighting from the get go . Constant screaming, hitting and a bad biting session (Rebecca has two marks on her arm one brusing this evening and Eilidh one on her hand). Bad Becca, Bad Eilidh - this was all i heard for the first few hours.

Things improved when DH finally rolled out of bed (how come he gets to sleep in constanlty?) , the girls stuck to there daddy like glue and we decided to take the girls out for lunch. For the first time that day things seemed to go our way and the girls were angels . We ate, we chatted and Ru just slept soundly .

We got home in time for Eilidhs nap (not that she actually slept but thats not the point), i took Ru and we curled up in the bed together and also took a nap. That was the first one in weeks and was just lovely, it was not tiredness that drove me to it but if i had not went for a nap dh would have spent the afternoon playing the computer and me with the girls.

After the naps finally got around to doing a little housework , dinner was made (quick frozen meal , lazy days don’t mix with cooking) . Kids were all bathed and bed-ed by 6pm.

The evening was just as relaxed , a long hot bath then an episode of Lost with hubby. Now 3 kids are sleeping and im waiting for hubby to get out his bath before going to sleep (Rebecca can be a bit unsettled sometimes and don’t want to sleep then have to wake up and deal with her).

And yes if you are wondering there is no point to this post other than passing a little time. If i ever remember yes i will write about what my not so little Ru (11 weeks today!!!) is up to .

Silly Video

Just wanted to share as im not finding time to write a real post, its silly and not the best camera work. Please remember we are in the middle of decorating so the walls look pretty messy.
The kids were just out of there baths and getting ready for bed.
