A Little Bit Of Everything

Im so glad its Monday, i know for most people they dread this day but to me its just about my favourite day. Rebecca is back in nursery and Eilidh at playgroup , i get silence and a chance to actually sit. Today im especially glad to be getting a break from Rebecca ,honestly why is it terrible twos everyone dreads - i would take 10 two year olds over 1 three year old any day. The attitude of that girl is horrible , she argues with us over everything and never does what she is told . I find myself yelling at her way to much ,just get so frustrated - she knows better but chooses to do these stuff anyway (like peeing on the carpet just because her sister done it . )
Ru is thankfully having a good couple of days, sleeping better (only once last night , compared to about 8-9 at least some nights last week) and not screaming all the time. He is starting to scoot though , can pull himself forward a good couple of inches and i think that is helping his mood.

Now why can’t the kids all have good days at the same time? Guess with 3 that would be to much to expect.

I also find that they cannot all sleep great in one night, Eilidh woke up around 10 as dinner arrived (long story but i ruined our meal so we just fed the kids and ordered something later) . She screamed la la and eventually ended up in bed with Becca and i . Put her back down at 3 when Ru woke up.
She went back down fine but was wide awake and playing /talking in her cot - i went back to sleep in the living room and next thing i know its 4.58am and 2 girls are jumping on me giggling. Way to of an early start to the day (Eils did go back down from 7.30-9.30) . Becca and i made cookies at 8am this morning just to pass some time.

Now does anyone reading actually care about the size of there tv? I mean im not wanting a tiny portable , i have terrible eyesight (no glasses lecture please, i have had them before and just hated wearing them. I KNOW i need to go back to get them checked again) . Our TV was fine, 32inch LCD only a few months old (seriously , cannot remember exactly but was not long before Ru was born) . Cue Saturday morning and Craig is lying in bed playing the DS (which i could rant about but will not) and i was doing stuff in the kids room . We hear a bang from the living room and Eilidh started crying, i assumed dh would get her as i was busy dealing with Ru and when she stopped in about a minute i guessed that is what happened. Can anyone see where this is going?

Walked in the living room to find the tv hanging upside down of the tv unit, guessed Eils must have been trying to climb behind it . Lifted it up and it was smashed (not the outside but in the inside) . Luckily it was still under warranty , someone coming out Wednesday to either fix or replace it - in the meantime my parents had a small tv they could lend us . Was that good enough for Mr. fussy pants - of course not , keeping this short as i can hear Ru waking behind me we are now the owner of a brand new 42inch tv - not huge compared to some but i find it ridiculous and much to big for the room . No idea why we need 2 tvs . Men!!!!!!!!!!!!

I laughed so hard when you said you’d take 10 2 yr olds over 1 3 year old. I totally agree - man where do they get off acting like TEENAGERS at that age!?? What is so funny to me, is that when my 3.5yr old boy talks to me (sasses me) I can totally hear myself being played back to me. It’s been a learning curve!

  • Byrney:

Ha ha my hubby wanted a massive tele and I wasn’t bothered..we compromised on a 32″.
4.58….wow thats not good, you must be so tired hope they all let you sleep in tonight!

Remembering when Steph climbed over Marcella’s built in fireplace in Gary Drive
Relax Laura you are doing a wonderful wonderful job and you are having the time of your life. Children grow up too too fast, enjoy every moment ask your Mum.
    Love you

  • Tara:

Three year old attitudes are nothing, wait until 4, then 5, then 6, lol. The attitude grows with the kid :)

I hear you on the TV, 42 inches is huge. In my tiny house it would be like going to the theater, lol.
