Day To Day

The last few months i have not been feeling blogging at all. Writing a chore and fell so behind with reading them that i just ignored them completely.

I finally hit the dreaded mark all as read button, posts from the beginning of the year were still waiting for me and i had no chance of catching up . I have moved back to goggle reader again and hope to stay on top of it all, even drop some comments now and then. I MISS blog reading, i MISS commenting and i miss the community of it all.

I think for a while i lost track of what my blog was about , posts would be just updates of the kids or moans about the day. Reading back to the beginning i use to blog about our day , what we done and saw - for some reason i just stopped doing that and have been missing it ever since.  I remember reading an article about how people hate this and don’t want to know that i went shopping , had lunch and bought a new top blah blah blah BUT i enjoy reading these type of posts on other blogs and thinks its great to document then days that you forget quickly but should always be remembered.

A rather long winded start to the post :)

Saturdays are normal our lazy day and tend to stay home and catch up on cleaning today though my mum invited us out shopping with the promise of a nice lunch and shopping (on her) after wards. What girl can resists :)

Wearing my lovely new Mei Tai we walked in the lovely spring weather to our shopping mall. Met my mum and niece and went to Pizza Hut for lunch , Ru got to sit in the high chair and chew on some apple slices looking like such a big boy :( . The rest of the afternoon was spent shopping till we dropped . The girls got (i think) 3 outfits each , new shoes , hair accessories and Pjs . The boy got a new outfit and new shoes and socks (he really does not need much , people have been so generous with there old stuff that we are bursting at the seams with boys clothes) - the outfit i did buy was 9-12 months but looks like it would fit him fine.

It was lovely just spending the afternoon with my mum , she loves spoiling the kids as much as i do.

We got home all tired out (and i was very achy from not feeding the boy for so long) , thankfully dinner was a beef casserole and already cooking in the crock pot. Now 2 out of 3 kids are sleeping and Becca is curled up with daddy - wearing her new Upsy Daisy PJs and PANTS - this was 100% her choice and the first time she has tried it . No idea how she will do with it , last thing i can be bothered with is having to change bed sheets at 3am . Not getting enough sleep as it is….

Once Rebecca is down planning a nice long hot bath either reading Keeping Faith or the latest Heat Magazine . Hopefully watch some Lost with hubby lately.

Tomorrow is Mothering Sunday here in the UK and we have a special family day planned , one which includes a long lie for me MY FIRST IN A YEAR.

Hope everyone else had a lovely day to :)

I believe you need to write about what you enjoy writing about. It’s most important that you write for yourself. There will always be people out there that won’t like it…. but they don’t need to read. You can count on the rest of us to stick around. I love hearing about everyone’s day to day stuff.

I was feeling the same bloggy blahs for a while. I did a month of Grace in Small Things. It seems to have brought me out of my blahs a little.

Your blog is for YOU! Write about what makes you happy…and what you will enjoy reading back on 20 years from now. Like, this post! Besides, I like hearing the day to day stuff too. :)

I like reading day to day things as well. The shopping trip sounds like lots of fun!

I too like hearing about the day to day stuff. And thats the whole point of my blog too! I want something to look back on and remember the park or soft play we went to…its easy to remember the big stuff but your kids will love looking back on how their life really was.
