Fail

I completely failed at any attempts of dieting today , its all about leaving the house and not taken
money with me . Today i had no choice as we needed nappies and some rash cream for poor Ru .
Im just so tired and its so HARD. I think i got 2 hours of sleep last night (and broken at that) and around 4 the night before. Night after night with no sleep is driving me insane.
The boy screamed for hours last night , Eilidh awake sitting with us the entire time (Rebecca woke
once, appeared through the living room for her drink and went back to bed not even noticing us) . I really
could do without Eilidh and her sleep issues at the moment…

Back on track tomorrow though, done our food shopping and there is nothing but healthy stuff in there PLUS load of chewing gum . Hoping chewing that will help with snacking (hate eating with a minty mouth) .

The kids have all been so funny lately and its great watching them grow, each day Ru is getting closer to crawling and today started trying to move forward with his legs – problem is he does not move his arms and falls forward .He is constantly getting himself wedged under stuff crawling backwards (from cots to chairs to trampolines my little terror) .
The girls both talk like crazy, noticed Eilidhs speech changing alot and expanding her sentence structure. Like instead of saying “daddy bath” she is saying “daddy IN THE bath” . Simple but very cute.

They have both fell in love with this game and ask for it all the time. There both developing such an appreciation for there ABCs and letters in general . They can both now tell you what letters all there family members names begin with . Im so proud of them both

Oh and Rebecca is doing wonderfully with no nappies at night, 3 nights in a row wearing underwear and no accidents. Im so proud of my big girl

Tomorrow another day – no reason to worry over it. Sounds like you’re really on track to stay healthy now!

  2. Kat says:

Experts always say that lack of sleep is a big cause of over-eating, and I know that is true for me.
Don’t worry. There is always tomorrow. A fresh day! :)

You have to forgive yourself! Not sleeping makes everything so much harder!! Just try to eat healthier, and call it good :) Sounds like you are still on the right track. I’ve found that I do best if I don’t even taste the sugary food because if I do I can’t stop!

First of all, good job Rebecca on the “no accidents!!” That’s got to make things much easier for you, Laura. :) Speaking from experience, sleep deprivation is the WORST part of being a parent, in my opinion. Hang in there… It will get better.

And by the way, if the girls like that ABC website, try http://www.starfall.com

Amanda used to play that for long periods of time… lots of fun! I think she’s grown tired of it for now, and is on to the Fancy Nancy Catching Butterflies game.

  5. Amy says:

Good for Rebecca. Don’t be too hard on yourself about dieting.

  6. Missy says:

Dieting is very hard! That is why so many of us are overweight! I have been struggling with that as well, so I can absolutely relate!

  7. Byrney says:

Don’t be hard on yourself, and don’t let one slip up ruin your long term goal. No sleep is a tough thing especially if you’re trying to start a new diet etc….
    Well done Rebecca thats brilliant….

  8. Tara says:

I agree with Kat, lack of sleep is not helpful to dieting. That said I haven’t slept in 20 months and 20 days, not wonder I am fat, lol.

    WTG Rebecca!! That is terrific.
