When hubby reveals he has to go away for the evening on business what is a mother of three expected to do – the answer is of course invite her sister and niece over for a “slumber party” .
I do admit i was a little worried how i would manage with all 3 kids during the night by myself , not to mention how the girls would take not seeing there dad for 2 whole days. Stephanie and Courts coming for the night seemed like the best solution , Steph there to help during the night and the kids to excited about them being there to even notice not having daddy home.
After a varied dinner – Macaroni Cheese for my sister and Ru , Pizza for the kids and Spring Rolls for me (everyone got to request there own meal) – we had cake and the kids got bathed. Then curled up in the bed to watch Bolt.
Neither of my girls would settle much and both ended up sleeping and Courts watched the movie herself .
Steph and i took the chance to have a nice old girly natter over a couple of glasses of wine, started watching 88 Minutes but talked to much to even understand any of it. Like the party animals we all are , everyone in the house was sleeping for 10.30 lol
For the first time in ages it felt like i got a decent night sleep , Ru only woke twice actually going 4 hours between feeds. My poor sister on the other hand ended up in the bed with all 3 girls , she spent half the night trying to find a space in the bed and the other half keeping my girls from waking each other up .
The girls really loved having them here, Rebecca keeps asking for them to come and stay again – she is in luck as Craig is going to Germany in June and they are going to come and stay for the week .

What a wonderful time! It makes me wish I had a sister or brother living close by. We miss all of that stuff by living so far from my family. So glad you had some good bonding time!
Hey, if it resulted in a good nights sleep, maybe you should do it more often!! Sounds like fun.
