Early Birds

*Yawn *

Mornings are starting way to early around these parts. Along with moving Eilidh into her big girl bed (which is going amazingly well , she just adores it. No issues so far and she is sleeping better than she has in months) we moved Ru into the room with Eilidh (We have had 2 cots set up in there for a while , he naps in the cot then slept in the travel cot in our living room to avoid one kid waking the other) .
Partly it was for my sanity , not only does he sleep better in the cot (ok not by much but he is only getting up on average 3 times a night just now) but it also means we get our living room back. Do you know how nice it is at night to be able to sit and chat with my hubby , not been paranoid that every little noise is going to wake the baby ?

We are amazed what Eilidh will sleep through , Ru takes a screaming fit and she just stays in sleep land. Put Ru into the cot wide awake and he is playing ,banging and making all sort of noise and she sleeps through it . Works the other way to , last night Eilidh woke up screaming (her teeth poor thing, i love how i can just lie down with her for a few moments and she goes back over) and Ru slept right through it.

The problem comes from mornings , he seems to wake for a feed around 4.30/5 and this seems to always wake the girls. Sure the boy wakes , feeds and goes back down but by then i have 2 little terrors running around wide awake. I confess that the last few mornings i have let them watch episode after episode of Peppa Pig while i curl up on the couch and doze for a while longer. Its 8am now and the girls are on there 2nd breakfast of the day – and the boy the one who started it all is still sound asleep of course.

Talking of the boy , he is changing so much just now and its amazing me . He is learning something new every day and im blown away with it all. Its not been that long since i was here with the girls but i guess i forgot but its an amazing ride. He has been a different boy lately , almost no screaming and he is easy to please. Dare i say it he is pleasant to be around – we even get some spontaneous smiles and giggles
As of yesterday he was able to crawl , sit up including sitting himself up from lying down (he could not do this yesterday morning but could by the time he went to bed) , pull up (caught him standing using our couch yesterday , he was bouncing like a crazy person ) , say Mama/Mum (says both) and sometimes Daddy (not Dada at all) , clap and almost wave , drink from a sippy cup like an expert and eat anything put in front of him.

I wonder what he will learn today :)
