Rain

I really feel i must comment on this , while other countries complain about the lack of i must complain about the complete abundance. It seems it rains at least a little every day of the year.

Now this is Scotland , no one really pictures it as a sunny warm place do they?

The last few days have been an example of (to me) the worst type of rain , it is heavy and cold .Wind blowing up a storm . Being outside for a moment is a nightmare and the kids are blown all over the place.

This morning the kids and i decided to stay home rather than attend our local toddler group , the dark and dreary outside just could not tempt us. I can cope with most weather just not the rain.

Yesterday i made the mistake of attempt the walk to speech therapy with Rebecca in that weather, 2 minutes into the walk and she was in tears. Rain was extra heavy and the wind freezing , i scooped her up and we jumped on to the nearest bus (even if it was only for 2 stops) . Used my hard earned babysitting money for a taxi home.

Not really sure what the point of this post is lol . Im forecasting a long, cold and wet winter and it fills me with dread.

Come to Crieff - it was sunny this afternoon and not windy here in general :P

Totally agree with you though! I miss the warm weather :(

We get too much rain here (48 inches [122 cm] a year on average), but nothing like Scotland… We do have nice, sunny days (even in the winter), but when it rains… it rains, and rains, and rains! When we first moved here, we lived in apartment so no garage (yuck!). When we bought a house, a 2 car garage was a requirement!!!!! I can’t even imagine not having a car in the rain…
