Day 2 of the summer holidays was much better than day 1.
Three years ago i wrote about the visits my sister and i make to my grans house . We still try to visit as often as we can normally during school holidays . We are so blessed to still have her in our lives and the children just adore their great gran.
We left early , my sister and i and the 4 kids . We walked in the sunshine and enjoyed the time together. It was busy at my grans , my aunt and 2 cousins were there (1 aged 8 and the other an adult and yes they are sisters) and my adult cousin had her 6 and 4 year old with her. The kids all spent hours playing together sometimes upstairs and at other times out in the garden.
My girls discovered a huge plant pot full of mud and spent a good part of the time playing in it , they got filthy but had such a good time. Almost 4 hours later we made it home , just in time for dinner and bath and bed.
Tomorrow we are going out with my mother in law to it is sure to be busy to , i look forward to it.
Now *that* sounds like a good day!
