Spain Day 1

I have been desperate to get this all written up before i forget it all but a tummy bug took a few of us down yesterday (poor Becca missed her 3rd day of big school)

So here we go , i imagine these posts will be long and heavy on photos/videos .

We had to leave our home at 3am which meant waking the kids up at 2am . It felt wrong but they were excited and very cute which made it much easier.

We left the house in blackness and arrived at the airport carpark ..well it was still black . A yellow bus (yes it was important as yellow happens to be the girls faviroute colour) took us from the car to the airport and the real adventure began.

We checked in and got rid of the luggage then went for breakfast .

I put Ru in the sling before boarding the plane having been falsely told (darn Internet rumours) that the pram was taken off you straight away. I now know that you get it taken off you just before going into the plane. Ru of course fell asleep in the sling which i was fine with till we boarded the plane and was told i needed to remove him and have him seated forward in my lap for take off. I had been counting on him sleeping for a good part of the journey. Somehow though i managed to get through it all without waking him and he slept for most of it , waking maybe an hour before landing. The girls loved the plane , and were as good as gold the whole time (thankfully the journey was under 3 hours) . It seemed like no time before we were landing and the kids got there first taste of a different country .

Things went really smoothly , we got our cases straight away and found our transfers. We had to wait a while in the bus but once it set of the girls fell asleep and Ru happily stared out the windows acting not very much like a 1 year old .

We finally arrived at the hotel  ,received the wrist band showing us as all inclusive and after a little wait got our rooms. It was small but decent , and we unpacked while kids looked around. We got changed out of our travelling clothes and into our summer stuff .

Rather than going for something to eat which would of been the sensible thing to do we went to the pool (it was about 1 pm then , we had been up since 2am and had breakfast around 5am) . One toddler pool and one bigger pool = 3 happy children .

By the time the kids were done we had missed lunch but who cares as we all inclusive remember . We helped ourself to snacks (Chips , Burgers, Hotdogs , Ice Cream ) and the kids played in the park .

After a short lie down in the room we all went for dinner which i wish i could say was a lovely and relaxed afair , it was till Rebecca decided she needed the toilet and jammed her finger in the door .

It is not the best picture but really does anyone want a clearer shot ? As an adult i know i would be horrified over that . And yes it was that bad . Thankfully we saw a first aider in the hotel (she was English which helped) who gaves us bandage and such and who recommended not going to the hospital (they would want to remove the nail which would traumatise us all ) , after much crying and upset (not all on her part) she settled and we all decided against going out for the evening and had an early night…
