A Good Read 1

Do you read ?

And i mean really read – do you read book after book and never get bored ?

That has been me my whole life, i remember in primary school keeping books in my tray and sneaking them out when the teacher was not looking. I remember getting a whole load of Babysitter club one Christmas and spending days doing nothing but reading them. I even remember shoplifting the latest Sweet valley Highs. I got older but my love of reading did not and for most of my adult life i have had dozens of books on the go . I read in the bath , i read before i go to bed and i take my book when i leave the house.

Last year i set myself a challenge – to read 100 books . This works out at a book every 3.65 days , and as i have been re-reading all of Stephen Kings books i knew alot of the books would be long. I made it though and my 115th book of the year was finished about 30 minutes before the bells rang out on new years eve. This year i have taken it upon myself to make another challenge – to read at least one more book that last year .

116 books is the goal – but im aiming for 10 a month . This month i have completed 6 and another 5 are over 70% done (so yes that makes 11 for this month).

I keep a list of what i have read/am reading here and would love to know what others are reading this year. Any recommendations ? Any authors i MUST try ?

From this years list i would really recommend Before I Go To Sleep by S.J Watson and Delirium by Lauren Oliver (if you liked The Hunger Games then you would love this) . I would recommend Lauren Oliver to anyone – her other novel Before I Fall was a wonderful and bittersweet ride that kept be entertained till the end.

My bath is now ran and its time to get working on completely my list.
